POSITION PURPOSE:

The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic leader who closely collaborates with business leaders and stakeholders from various HR functions to formulate initiatives that enhance both short-term and long-term performance.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  1. Collaborates with leaders to understand business objectives and translate them into holistic HR strategies with a concentration in the following areas: organizational effectiveness, performance management, and talent management.
  2. Is a visible leader, seen as a trusted advisor, demonstrating sound judgement and the ability to provide executive level coaching.
  3. Delivers Human Resources services to client groups in a way that results in a seamless point of contact to the broader Human Resources organization.
  4. Leverages data and insights to identify root cause, prioritize work and validate results achieve desired outcomes. Review and analyze client group data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.
  5. Partners with members of the HR team (i.e., Comp & Benefits, Learning & Development, Employee Relations etc.) to deliver practical solutions that are sustainable and enable business performance.
  6. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence a broad set of key stakeholders at various of level of the organization.
  7. Drives the execution of annual HR processes for their designated client group(s) (i.e. goal setting, performance reviews, succession plannings etc.).
  8. Supports, and may lead, a variety of change management initiatives; providing consultation on strategies that enable change through manager readiness and employee engagement.
  9. Understands HR policies and workplace practices; provides guidance to leaders that minimize risk.

 

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline. A Master’s degree or HR certification (such as a PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred as are other related certifications.
  2. Minimum up 7 years of progressive business leadership experience. Relevant HR experience working with senior leaders in a multi-location environment is preferred.
  3. Functional expertise in multiple disciplines within HR as well as general business acumen is preferred.
  4. Proven experience leveraging data and insights to identify trends and developing solutions for sustained improvement.
  5. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communication skills, leadership, customer service focus, self-motivation, and ability to perform multiple tasks with minimum supervision.
  6. Strong understanding of labor laws, employee regulations and HR compliance requirements.
  7. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond to problems timely.
  8. Ability to use all Microsoft Office software, including: Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience using various HRIS systems.
  9. 10%-20% travel required.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Ability to view video display terminal images for extended periods of time.
  2. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  3. Ability to lift, tug, pull up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
  4. Ability to physically operate a computer keyboard, calculator and multi-line telephone system.
  5. Ability to travel via automobile and/or airplane.
