Job Summary:

The Human Resources Payroll and Benefits Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and employee support while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management

  • Oversee and process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Maintain payroll records and reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll-related questions.

Benefits Administration

  • Manage employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, leave policies, wellness programs, and other perks.
  • Coordinate open enrollment processes and communicate benefits changes to employees.
  • Liaise with benefits providers and brokers to ensure optimal service and cost-effectiveness.
  • Assist employees with benefits-related issues and claims resolution.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA, ERISA, COBRA).
  • Prepare and file required reports such as 401(k) filings, ACA reporting, and other government-mandated documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR trends, legislation, and best practices.

HR Systems and Data Management

  • Maintain and update HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Generate reports and analytics to support HR and organizational decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality in all HR records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Paylocity) and HRIS systems.
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws and payroll regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or SHRM-CP/SCP is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time position,  Monday through Friday.
  • On-site
