This is What You’ll Do

  • Provide support for HRIS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRIS issues, unexpected results, or process flaws; perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Assess current system and utilization; identifies and recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements to maximize value and efficiency of the HRIS.
  • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS system upgrades or patches.
  • Ensures system compliance with data security, data integrity, privacy requirements. policy requirements.
  • Write, maintain, and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll).
  • Use leadership skills in carrying out projects. May provide overall ownership for a given HRIS initiative.
  • Collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to determine the short- and long-term information department and system objectives; develops a plan to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems to meet those objectives.
  • Collaborates with other analysts and HRIS staff to plan, modify, and customize the HRIS and to test new applications and features.
  • Prepares training materials, guides, and documentation.
  • Provides user training and hands-on support and recommends process/customer service improvements/solutions.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS support, providers, vendors, and technology.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This is What it Takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Three to five years of HRIS experience. Systems implementation experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with databases tools.
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with an HRIS such as Ultimate Software (UKG) or SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system
